{"id":2317,"date":"2025-10-10T14:19:32","date_gmt":"2025-10-10T12:19:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nanosmartlab.cnr.it\/?p=2317"},"modified":"2025-10-10T14:23:04","modified_gmt":"2025-10-10T12:23:04","slug":"new-publication-in-biosensors-and-bioelectronics-x","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nanosmartlab.cnr.it\/?p=2317","title":{"rendered":"New Publication in Biosensors and Bioelectronics: X"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are pleased to announce the publication of our new article in <em>Biosensors and Bioelectronics: X<\/em>, titled:<br><strong>\u201cFlexible gold nanoparticle SERS tape for rapid, label-free and ultrasensitive detection and differentiation of Shiga toxin variants\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This study presents the development of <strong>flexible SERS (Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering) substrates<\/strong> obtained by transferring <strong>self-assembled plasmonic nanostructures<\/strong> onto polymeric supports, enabling <strong>mechanically compliant and wearable sensors<\/strong> for biochemical detection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The work demonstrates the capability of these plasmonic platforms to achieve <strong>label-free SERS identification and discrimination of three Shiga toxins produced by <em>Escherichia coli<\/em><\/strong> directly in <strong>human serum<\/strong>, without the need for chemical labels or complex sample preparation.<br>Advanced <strong>multivariate analysis based on Principal Component Analysis (PCA)<\/strong> was employed to successfully classify and distinguish the spectral fingerprints of the different toxins, highlighting the strong potential of SERS combined with data-driven analytics for <strong>rapid and reliable biosensing applications<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This research represents an important step toward the realization of <strong>portable diagnostic systems<\/strong> for real-time pathogen and toxin detection in complex biological environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udcc4 <strong>Read the full paper:<\/strong><br><a>https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1016\/j.biosx.2025.100696<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Congratulations to all the authors for this significant achievement!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are pleased to announce the publication of our new article in Biosensors [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":2318,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_themeisle_gutenberg_block_has_review":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[13,11,1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-2317","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-article","category-news","category-senza-categoria"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.9 -
