Bryan Guilcapi, Amalia D’Avino, and Alessia Piccolo of Team POC A.L.I.C.E. (Actuators based on light-sensitive CompositE) collected the well-deserved award for the best project idea at the “See you next year” contest during the NeaPolis Innovation Technology Day held on November 27th at STMicroelectronics site in Arzano. The Alice group, financed by the Eureka! Fund through the POC project “Actuators based on Light-sensitive Innovative CompositEs”, led by Lucia Petti of ISASI-CNR and Giuseppe Nenna of ENEA-CMS, presented a new prototype of Smart opto-valves based on Photomobile polymers and realised in ENEA-CNR laboratories with the precious support of the entire Team and in particular of Tommaso Fasolino (ENEA). Next step will be the foundation of a research joint spin off of CNR’s Institute of Applied Sciences and Intelligent Systems ‘Eduardo Caianiello’ and ENEA’s Laboratory Smart Components and Systems for Sustainable Manufacturing, with EUREKA! Venture sgr.
