We are thrilled to announce that our esteemed researcher, Alessia Milano, will be representing our group at the upcoming NanoPlasm 2026 conference.
Alessia will be presenting a scientific poster showcasing our latest advancements in high-sensitivity biosensing. Her presentation, titled “High-Sensitivity SERS Profiling of Shiga Toxins: Bridging Fundamental Validation and Real-World Clinical Application,” highlights our group’s multidisciplinary work in combining nanotechnology and biomedical diagnostics to address critical challenges in healthcare.
The study introduces a highly sensitive, antibody-functionalized gold nanoparticle SERS platform designed to detect and discriminate lethal Shiga toxin variants directly in human serum at extremely early stages. This pioneering research aims to pave the way for rapid clinical decision-making and improved risk management for severe infections.
We are deeply proud to have Alessia showcasing the high caliber of our team’s research on such a prestigious international stage. We have no doubt that she will represent our group with excellence, fostering valuable scientific exchange and showcasing the impactful work we do here.
About the Conference:
NanoPlasm 2026 is one of the premier international gatherings focused on frontiers in plasmonics and nanophotonics. To learn more about the scientific program and event details, please visit the official conference website: NanoPlasm 2026.
These groundbreaking project are proudly led and driven by our Research Group Leader, Dr. Lucia Petti, at the Institute of Applied Sciences and Intelligent Systems ‘Eduardo Caianiello’ (ISASI-CNR) in Pozzuoli, whose vision and guidance continue to push the boundaries of advanced biosensing technologies.
Join us in wishing Alessia the absolute best for her presentation in representing our team!
