The excitement continues for our research group! In addition to our poster presentations, we are incredibly proud to announce that Amalia DโAvino has been selected to deliver a fast-paced, high-impact Pitch Talk at NanoPlasm 2026.
Amalia will take the stage to pitch our breakthrough technology: “Flexible Plasmonic Paper-Based SERS Immunosensor with PCA-LDA Classification for Simultaneous Detection of Escherichia coli and Rotavirus in Food and Environmental Matrices.”
In just 5 minutes, she will demonstrate how our team is revolutionizing diagnostics by developing an innovative, portable, and reliable solution for safer food and environmental monitoring.
Why this technology is a game-changer:
- โฑ๏ธ Rapid Results: Complete pathogen detection in approximately 1.5 hours.
- ๐ฒ Cost-Effective: Fabricated with a highly accessible cost of less than $10.
- ๐ฌ Ultra-Sensitive: Achieving detection sensitivity down to nanomolar levels.
- ๐ On-site & Point-of-Care: Designed for direct field deployment where science meets real-world impact.
- ๐ฑ Easy Integration: Seamlessly adaptable into portable devices for immediate readouts.
By combining flexible paper-based sensors with PCA-LDA machine learning classification, this device allows for the simultaneous detection of both bacterial (E. coli) and viral (Rotavirus) threats in complex matrices.
Save the date!
Mark your calendars for June 16, 2026, and join us at the conference to support Amalia during this dynamic session! We are absolutely thrilled to watch her showcase the innovative spirit and practical impact of our group’s research on the global stage at NanoPlasm.
